Shades of Monterey
We are currently using our Listening Station to collect interview style stories from community members to build up our collection of local stories. Together with the Digital Stories, the Listening Station stories will chronicle history and life experiences from the viewpoints of people in the Monterey Community.
The Monterey Public Library has been awarded California Listens 2019 Special Consulting and Project Support. On Sunday, June 30th we will partner with the Berkeley-based non-profit StoryCenter to host two half day digital story-based workshops. The films created at the workshop will also be part of the Shades of Monterey-Local Stories Collection.
To learn more, or sign up for a workshop contact Adult Services & Outreach Librarian Sarah Nolan at (831) 646-3949 or nolan@monterey.org.
