Working in conjuntion with the Kiwani's Santa Project to provide toys to boys and girls, the Monterey Fire Department has begun its annual Toy Drive. They currently have toy barrels at the Fire Stations below (all except 16 at the Airport):

The City of Monterey is in the process of preparing its Five-Year Consolidated Plan, required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The City anticipates receiving approximately $5M in funds over the next 5 years. The Consolidated Plan provides a strategy for addressing critical community development needs of City residents. Annual Action Plans summarize the actions, activities, and resources that will be used to address priority community needs and goals identified by the Consolidated Plan.

Applicants for funding for the 2020-2021 Action Plan year are required to attend a planned Technical Assistance Workshop to understand funding restrictions and obtain guidance regarding funding application completion and submittal.

CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following: Citywide Road Surface Repair Project, Phase 2. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, pavement spot repair of approximately 600,000 SF, crack sealing, placing of approximately 1,200,000 SF of Type II slurry seal, 400000 of Type III slurry seal, 10,000 of Chip Seal associated striping removal and replacement, refreshing of existing painted street markings, traffic control, and installation of necessary environmental pollution prevention requirements on various streets in the City of Monterey.
