On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 5:42 p.m., Monterey Police Department officers were dispatched to a sexual battery that had just occurred. The crime occurred in the Macy's Department Store, located at Del Monte Center, where the suspect groped the victim's buttocks. Further investigation revealed that earlier that day, the suspect attempted another sexual battery. This earlier crime was reported while officers were on scene at Del Monte Center.
