During this season of giving, Monterey Police and Fire are collecting food donations for the Monterey County Food Bank. One collection bin is located inside the Monterey Police Department lobby at 351 Madison Street through Dec. 21.

The other collection bins, and accompanied by toy drive bins, are located at the Monterey Fire Department at the following stations:
Station No. 11 – 600 Pacific St.
Station No. 12 – 582 Hawthorne St.
Station No. 13 – 401 Dela Vina Ave.
Station No. 14 – 600 Pine Ave., Pacific Grove
Station No. 15 – On 6th Ave. between Mission and San Carlos Streets, Carmel-by-the-Sea

The food drive at the fire stations runs through Jan. 1, 2023. The toy drive runs through Dec. 15, 2022. A community wrapping party takes place on Dec. 16 at the Monterey High Gym from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to help wrap presents.
