Discover & Go

Discover & Go provides passes to museums and other cultural and educational institutions  that can be printed online. As a Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library cardholder, you have access to numerous museums and institutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We hope to add Monterey area institutions soon. This unique program allows library users to make reservations online by date or by venue and print out a pass. Customers without Internet access can reserve and print out a pass at the library.

  • You may have up to 2 reservations at a time
  • You may cancel a reservation only if you have not already printed the admission pass
  • The pass is for use only by the person named and only on the date specified. No photocopies are allowed. Valid ID is required.
  • Each Discover & Go pass expires immediately after the reservation date.

What is Discover & Go?

What museums are available for reservation through Discover & Go?
You can see which museums and cultural destinations are available by clicking on "Attractions" at Discover & Go.
Are Discover & Go passes free?
Most participating museums and other institutions offer free passes through Discover & Go. Some offer discounts. Each participating institution determines its own offers and restrictions.
How does Discover & Go Work?
  • In order to make a reservation, you must have a valid Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library card.
  • You can have up to 2 reservations at a time.
  • You can cancel a reservation only if you have not already printed the admission’s pass.
  • The pass is for use only by the person named and only on the date specified. No photocopies are allowed. Valid ID is required.
How many Discover & Go museum passes can I reserve?
You can have two active reservations at a time. For example, if you make one reservation for a visit in June and you make a second reservation for a visit this Saturday, you can make another reservation after you complete your visit this Saturday.
Why can't I view the Discover & Go calendar beyond a certain date?
Starting April 1st, 2020, Discover & Go will only releasing passes one month at a time until further notice.
Can I cancel an active Discover & Go reservation if I haven't printed the pass?
You can cancel a pass that has not been printed by logging into Discover & Go and clicking on "Cancel Pass." Please remember that once the pass has been printed your reservation cannot be cancelled.
