FAQs
Discover & Go provides access to museum passes that can be printed online. As a Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library cardholder, you have access to numerous museums and cultural institutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We hope to add Monterey area institutions soon. This unique program allows library users to make reservations online by date or by venue and print out a pass. Customers without Internet access can reserve and print out a pass at the library.
You can see which museums and cultural destinations are available by clicking on "Attractions" at Discover & Go.
Most participating museums and other institutions offer free passes through Discover & Go. Some offer discounts. Each participating institution determines its own offers and restrictions.
- In order to make a reservation, you must have a valid Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library card.
- You can have up to 2 reservations at a time.
- You can cancel a reservation only if you have not already printed the admission’s pass.
- The pass is for use only by the person named and only on the date specified. No photocopies are allowed. Valid ID is required.
You can have two active reservations at a time. For example, if you make one reservation for a visit in June and you make a second reservation for a visit this Saturday, you can make another reservation after you complete your visit this Saturday.
On the first day of each month, available passes for the next three months are visible. For example, on October 1, passes for the months of October, November, and December are visible.
You can also check for available passes during the month, as other users sometimes cancel the Discover & Go reservation, thus making a pass available again.

You can cancel a pass that has not been printed by logging into Discover & Go and clicking on "Cancel Pass." Please remember that once the pass has been printed your reservation cannot be cancelled.
