Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Monterey Public Library. As of June 2020 we are again using volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering to do tasks such as shelving and pulling books, please contact our temporary volunteer coordinator: Kim Smith at ksmith@monterey.org (preferable) or 831-646-2093

Why Volunteer?

  • Learn a new skill
  • Get involved with your community
  • Use your talents
  • Help share the "library experience" with others

Teen volunteers in middle school and above can also get Community Service Hours by volunteering with the library.

Library Volunteers support staff on our mission to INSPIRE, DELIGHT, and EDUCATE ALL.  Together, we can make the Monterey Public Library a welcoming community space for everyone!

Thank you for considering the Library as a place for your talents and time.

Please contact the Temporary Volunteer Coordinator, Kim Smith at ksmith@monterey.org or (831) 646-2093 for further information.
