Volunteer

The Library and Bookmobile will be closed Saturday, March 14 through Tuesday, March 31 in an effort to take proactive measures against the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Monterey Public Library. At this time we are not currently recruiting new volunteers. Our current volunteers have been asked to not come in until further notice.

Note that volunteer services may take longer to begin again after the library reopens.

Please check back for more information as it becomes available.

Thank you and be well.

Why Volunteer?

  • Learn a new skill
  • Get involved with your community
  • Use your talents
  • Help share the "library experience" with others

Teen volunteers in middle school and above can also get Community Service Hours by volunteering with the library.

Library Volunteers support staff on our mission to INSPIRE, DELIGHT, and EDUCATE ALL.  Together, we can make the Monterey Public Library a welcoming community space for everyone!
