Healthy to 100: Surprising Links to Your Oral Health with Dr. Jeanette M. Kern, D.D.S.
On Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Dr. Jeanette M. Kern, a local dental expert in the areas of preventive, esthetic and restorative dentistry, will share how you can keep your smile healthy to 100 years young and how oral health affects your overall health. She will introduce you to state of the art technology in saliva testing with regards to oral cancer, periodontal (gum) bacteria and your innate genetic immune response; and review how advanced and effective treatments, tooth brushing products and mouth rinses can decrease your risks of heart attack, strokes, diabetes, pneumonia and more.
This event is part of The Next Chapter: Designing Your Ideal Life lecture series sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Monterey Public Library Endowment Committee. Dr. Jeanette Kern, DDS is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of cosmetic, restorative and general dentistry. She taught at the UCLA School of Dentistry and the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. Dr. Kern graduated at the top of her class from UCLA School of Dentistry.
