Friends of the Monterey Public Library and the Richard W. Greenberg Foundation present the Health and Happiness Workshop

On Saturday, September 23, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., Friends of the Monterey Public Library and the Richard W. Greenberg Foundation present the Health and Happiness Workshop at the Monterey Public Library featuring an Integrative Wellness Fair and lectures on wellness through effective, alternative, non-traditional healing methods.

Lectures scheduled:

1:30 pm - Feeding Our Community = Healing Our Community with Reid Norris, Executive Director, Everyone’s Harvest. Norris will talk about Everyone’s Harvest mission to provide access to healthy, affordable fruits and vegetables through certified farmers’ markets and community food programs, and share the non-profit organization’s vision for every community to have a fair and sustainable food system. 2:30 pm - Self Hypnosis to De-stress with Kaye Coleman, CCHT, CYT, Owner, Creating Klarity. Coleman’s talk is centered in helping you to understand how self hypnosis impacts your nervous system. Self-hypnosis is a simple and powerful tool that can be used every day. The more you use it the better it works and the more it is possible to change for the better. Learning basic techniques for balancing your nervous system will help you to move through life connected to the present moment. http://creatingklarity.com

3:30 pm - Movement to Rejuvenate with Andrea Borgman-Quist, Founder, Pilates Monterey and Peninsula Pilates Project. Borgman-Quist will talk about the benefits of Pilates and share the mission of the Peninsula Pilates Project (PPP); a non-profit organization devoted to providing Pilates training as post-rehabilitative treatment for those recovering from debilitating illnesses, regardless of their ability to pay.
