June Teen Book Club

Thursday, June 25, 3:15 p.m.

Hey Book Bratz,

You voted for it, you got it.  This month's book is I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga.

It was a beautiful day. It was a beautiful field. Except for the body.

Jazz is the son of the world's most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, "Take Your Son to Work Day" was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could-from the criminal's point of view.

Now, with bodies piling up in the sleepy town of Lobo's Nod, Jazz must work with the police to prove that murder doesn't run in the family.

If you're already a member of book club, then you've already picked up your copy of the book.  If you're not, and want to join us, you can check out a copy of the book from the library or you can just join us on Thursday, June 25 at 3:15 pm. The meeting this time around will be our special Summer Edition.  Meet a local YA author, receive a copy of her book, discuss I Hunt Killers, vote on the new book, and put in your order to receive a copy of Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell.

Our summer reading challenge is for you to read all three books you'll receive by our August meeting and get to pick out a free Advanced Reader Copy of your choice. (Advanced Reader Copy means book that hasn't been published yet :) ).

For attending this event, if you are part of the Summer Reading program, get your name in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate. If you bring friends, get your name put in additional times.
