International Games Day Go Tournament!

Saturday, November 21, 2 p.m.

International Games Day!

Join the event that multiple libraries around the world are participating in! On November 21st, participating libraries will put out games for patrons to share.

Monterey Public Library will be hosting its first Go Tournament. We have a Go Club that meets just about every Friday with a great instructor there to teach all age groups how to play Go. Don't be afraid if you've never played or don't even know what Go is. Come in and learn. There will be door prizes for people who participate, and of course a gift card prize to the player who wins.

Go is an ancient game of strategy similar to checkers and chess. It involves thinking skills and creativity. Check the library's calendar to see when Go Club meets next and stop by to see what's going on and learn how to play, so you can get prepared for the tournament.

We will have some other games out for families and friends to share as well. All age groups are invite to join us for this event and for Go Club!

If you have any questions, please e-mail Eboni at harris@monterey.org or call at: 831-646-2094.
