With guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health, the Monterey County Health Department is the lead agency locally providing protocols for addressing any potential local cases of coronavirus. The program is airing on the Monterey Channel (Comcast Cable Ch 25) on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. and 930 p.m.; Saturday afternoons at 2 p.m.; and Sunday mornings at 7 a.m.

The community is invited to a public informational session hosted by the City of Monterey and Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS). A panel of representatives from multiple agencies with regulatory oversight authority over cruise ship operations will present information, answer question cards from the public, and address environmental concerns related to large cruise ships visiting Monterey Bay.
