From this page you can access the Master Fee Schedule with links to specific department fees, and the Administrative Citation Fine Schedule. The list includes the current fees charged and the identification number of the City Council resolution setting the current fee. The first two digits of the resolution number indicate the calendar year in which the resolution was passed by the City Council.

Please note: The City of Monterey reserves the right to change fees at any time. We will strive to update these Web pages as soon as possible when fees and rates are changed. You may contact the appropriate department to confirm whether the amounts listed here for any particular service or permit have changed since last published.

NOTE: Certain fees may be paid at the Revenue Office at each office's discretion.

* Per City of Monterey City Council Resolution #23-139, approved November 21, 2023, payments made to certain City of Monterey divisions after January 4, 2024, using a credit/debit card will include a Service Fee of 2.9%*:

Please note: Parks, Recreation, Sports Center, and Parking are NOT charging this service fee.
