Edible_Food_Recovery_Grant_FY_23-24 - CopyReGen Monterey and Salinas Valley Recycles (SVR) have renewed their Edible Food Recovery Grant Program. The FY 2023-2024 grant funding opportunity intends to award a total of up to $90,000 to non-profit organizations, businesses or public entities that collect, generate, and distribute food to those in need within the County of Monterey. To apply, download the FY 23-24 Edible Food Recovery Grant Application and email the completed form to katy@bluestrikeenvironmental.com. For questions, review the Edible Food Recovery Grant Summary and Requirements or contact katy@bluestrikeenvironmental.com. Applications are due by October 31, 2023.

November 12th, 2022 - Lithium-Ion Battery Collection Events
On November 12th, three lithium-ion battery collection events will be held concurrently in Monterey, Salinas, and Soledad. Proper disposal of lithium-ion batteries is crucial, as they present fire hazards when disposed of improperly. Generally, any item you plug in to recharge likely contains a lithium battery. Regular household batteries will not be accepted at these events.
