Annual Income Limits

The City of Monterey’s Housing Programs office administers and manages a variety of programs, each of which are subject to specific income eligibility criteria. Income eligibility for these programs is determined by comparisons with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limits currently in effect at the time of program application. The current income limits, adjusted for household size, are indicated below.

The income limits are set annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Here's the website: https://huduser.gov/portal/datasets/il.html

Some programs also use income numbers from the State, which are based on HUD's numbers, but have nuanced differences depending on the program. Here's the state page: https://hcd.ca.gov/grants-funding/income-limits/state-and-federal-income-limits.shtml
