The Communications & Outreach Office provides strategic communications, community engagement programs, media relations and public information in emergencies. The office manages the City's external and internal websites, government access TV station, social media sites, and emergency radio station. Staff produce online newsletters, community surveys, TV programs and videos, and serve as the Public Information Office in the event of an emergency.

In the event of an emergency, watch us on Twitter @CityofMonterey (you don't have to have a Twitter account to follow), our home page at monterey.org and monterey.org/emergency. Make sure to register your cell phone at Alert Monterey County (alertmontereycounty.org) to receive text alerts and important notifications, and get text alerts from Monterey Police by texting 93940 to 888777.
