NEW Virtual Recreation Center

A Special Message from Monterey Recreation about Summer Programs

Veteran’s Memorial Park Campground is Temporarily Closed
To comply with State and Monterey County public health officials order to contain the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the City has taken precautionary measures and temporarily closed Veteran’s Memorial Park Campground. The playground area within the park is also temporarily closed, but other non-campground areas of the park, including trails, remain open. Visitors are reminded to practice social distancing and maintain at least six feet between other visitors and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Restrooms also remain open, and visitors are advised to use soap for hand washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizers when water is not available.

We are dedicated to keeping our facilities clean and have increased sanitary efforts.
