The Planning Commission is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Monterey residents and creating economic vitality throughout the city and its region. The Commission pursues these goals by promoting the highest standards for development and revitalization in all of Monterey's neighborhoods and business districts. The seven-member panel is entrusted to help set land-use goals and evaluate individual project proposals to ensure that they are consistent with the City’s adopted plans.
