Through the City of Monterey's participation in the HEAL Program, as well as our commitment to providing healthy, active lifestyle options through our Parks and Recreation programs and services, Monterey is focusing in May on promoting awareness and the local programs for those affected by arthritis.
The Monterey Sports Center offers Aqua Aerobic classes, especially those held in the warm pool, including Bone Builder, T'ai Chi, Restorative Pilates and Restorative Yoga as featured classes beneficial for people with arthritis. The incredible 92-degree therapeutic pool is perfect for individuals with arthritis to exercise safely and comfortably.
For a full list of the classes and schedule please see monterey.org/Portals/2/PDFs/GroupEx-Beginners-Seniors-Light.pdf, also posted on the Monterey Sports Center's Group Exercise page, monterey.org/sportscenter/Group-Exercise
