CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  USAG POM Pavement Repair 2019 IJO POM 19-037.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition of existing curb ramps and installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, pavement grinding, spot repair, and roadway rehabilitation (overlay and full-depth reclamation), utility cover adjustment, pavement marking and traffic lines installation, and miscellaneous related work.

Any person in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications, or who finds omissions therein, may submit to the issuing department contact, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof.  In order to respond to such questions and amend specifications as necessary, the City may extend the bid opening date as deemed necessary.  A 10% bid bond is required with this bid proposal.

It is mandatory that prospective bidders attend at least one of the two pre bid meetings which will take place on April 17, 2020 and May 1, 2020.  This conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Presidio of Monterey Museum parking lot, Building 118, Cpl Ewing Road, in Monterey, CA and will allow bidders to review and inspect project conditions.  Contractors must have valid federally recognized ID, vehicle registration and vehicle insurance with them to enter the Military Installation.

Bids will be received at the designated times and locations listed below, no later than the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 12th day of May, 2020 at which hour and date they will be opened and examined. A report will be forwarded to the City Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to wit, Few Memorial Hall of Records, and the Council may award the bid, reserving the right, however to reject any and all such bids.
  Until 1:00pm on the Bid Opening Date, proposals shall be addressed as follows and mailed or hand-delivered to: Attention Finance Director – Bid Enclosed, 735 Pacific Street, Suite A, Monterey, CA 93940/
  Between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on the Bid Opening Date, proposals shall be hand-delivered to: City Council Chambers, 580 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93940
