On 9/11/18, Monterey Police Detectives booked 60-years-old Daniel Piggott of Monterey into the Monterey County Jail for charges which included; manufacturing an assault weapon, possession of an assault weapon, possession of high capacity magazines, negligent discharge of a firearm and discharge of a firearm in a school zone. The investigation stemming from the incident on 9/7/18 revealed that Piggott was responsible for the original shots fired call. Evidence recovered at the scene indicated that Piggott had fired multiple rounds, several of which struck a wall on a patio that was adjacent to his apartment. NEWS RELEASE IN PDF
