The City's Division of Planning, Engineering, and Environmental Compliance (PEEC) entitles most major private development projects within the City. The Project Status Reports box in the upper right corner of this page may provide information on projects that have completed all required discretionary review and are either under review for building permits or are under construction.


Public Projects

The City's Engineering Office coordinates all public projects approved through the Capital Improvement Program and Neighborhood Improvement Program.

CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  Job Order Contract for Signal and Traffic Equipment Maintenance 2019.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the construction, repairs, alterations to existing facilities and emergency work for the repair and maintenance of traffic signal, communications, and lighting systems, including testing and certificate of new controller assemblies, maintenance, repair and installation of new traffic signal equipment, lighted crosswalks, radar speed feedback signs, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, flashing beacons and fiber optic network.

Request for Proposals - Transportation Adaptation Plan

The City of Monterey (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to develop the City’s Transportation Adaptation Plan (“Plan”).  The City received $212,472.00 in State Public Transportation Account—Adaptation Planning Grant funds to complete the Plan no later than February 2021. The Plan will build upon the City of Monterey’s Sea Level Rise and Vulnerability Analyses, Existing Conditions and Issues Report completed in 2016 (https://monterey.org/Portals/0/Policies-Procedures/Planning/WorkProgram/LCP/16_0316_FINAL_Monterey_ExistingConditions_wAppendixA_WEB.pdf).

CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following: Cannery Row Elevator Enclosure Project. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, enclosing and providing a weather protection to an exterior elevator located in the parking garage. Existing exterior elevators and the roof level canopy are to remain unchanged. Structural system enclosing the existing shaft will be HSS 4x4 members and will be supported by the existing concrete structure. Proposed roofing system is single-ply roofing membrane system, over rigid insulation, over standing seam metal decking per structural. Drainage will be directed onto the existing roof below.
