Private Projects

The City's Division of Planning, Engineering, and Environmental Compliance (PEEC) entitles most major private development projects within the City. The Project Status Reports box in the upper right corner of this page may provide information on projects that have completed all required discretionary review and are either under review for building permits or are under construction.


Public Projects

The City's Engineering Office coordinates all public projects approved through the Capital Improvement Program and Neighborhood Improvement Program.

CALL FOR BIDS - Montecito Park Entry and Seating Installation and Phase 2 Site Improvements Project, DUE by 2PM, Nov. 28, 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  Montecito Park Entry and Seating Installation and Phase 2 Site Improvements Project.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition and construction of concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway crossing, lighted basketball court, new picnic tables and accessories, the installation of decomposed granite paving, sod placement, and an irrigation system.  The work also consists of the removal and legal disposal of existing asphalt basketball court and sod materials.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  Ord Military Community-B7963 Parking Lot Lights Replacements.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, removal of seventeen existing parking lot light assembly and installing 4 dual head and 13 single head LED parking lot light assembly including dimming control and motion sensor.  Also included is the installation of reinforced concrete foundation, pull boxes, earthwork and necessary tie-in for a complete in place operational parking lot lights in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.

RFP: Vulnerable Community Needs Analysis

The City of Monterey Housing Programs Office is seeking proposals to initiate an analysis to determine if there are gaps in service that may limit effectiveness of programs that are intended to serve extremely low, very low and low-income and other vulnerable populations. This analysis will be funded by the City’s Community Development Block Grant Program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The successful applicant will be expected to complete the analysis and issue all deliverables by April 1, 2018. 

Deadline for submission is 4:00 p.m., November 30, 2017. Under no circumstances will late proposals be accepted.
