Playground Volunteer

Service Area Dennis the Menace Park, Monterey
Purpose Provide supervision for children playing on playground equipment and enforce park rules.
Duties Provide supervision for children to avoid accidents, and ensure proper guidelines for use of playground equipment are adhered to; alert proper staff of problems, provide secure adult presence for children and guidance to ensure participant safety.
Qualifications Ability to relate well with children of various ages, willingness to learn park rules and regulations, playground safety guidelines. Experience working with young children; early childhood education helpful. Excellent opportunity for ECE student.
Time  Commitment Minimum of one 5-hour shift per week, 12:00-5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, during MPUSD school year.
