Purpose |
Assist in the preparation and serving of
dinner for this one-of-a-kind program. |

Duties |
With direct supervision of Senior Center
staff, assisting with the preparation and serving of dinner in the program which is
designed to provide a critical social element in the lives of both physically and mentally
challenged citizens. (Each event features activities and entertainment as well.) |

Qualifications |
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
and have a warm, caring persona and a desire to work with special populations in an
environment designed to bring fun and entertainment in a "familial" setting.
(Volunteers must be fingerprinted.) |

Time Commitment |
The Friday
Social takes place on the first Friday of every month from 6-9 p.m., with
the exception of January, July and September. The Recreation & Community
Services Department is pleased to consider volunteers for the Friday social
who can commit to specific Friday nights only, as well as volunteers who
wish to be "routinely" involved in this very special program. |
