Purpose |
Assist Recycling Staff in expanding recycling
projects within the City of Monterey, primarily at special events and other recycling
efforts. |
|
Duties |
Work at special events as part of recycling
team, staff recycling center, or table at events and special recycling days. Direct public
to proper recycling bins. Assist in planning and running special recycling days for
certain items, help educate public about the importance of recycling; may involve school
presentations. |
|
Qualifications |
Willingness to learn about recycling program
in all aspects, commitment to project goals, ability to read and understand directions and
educational materials, ability to perform physical labor. Will involve lifting and moving
bins and recyclable items. Ability to work independently. Good communication and
interpersonal skills. |

Time Commitment |
Varies according to event and
planned programs, ongoing need for 2 hours per week plus additional hours based on event
requirements. This project is projected to begin in late Spring 1998. |
