Intersection Traffic Monitor

Service Area Various locations within City of Monterey
Purpose Assist in analysis of automobile traffic patterns and usage at various intersections and roadways within the city for inclusion in planning process for traffic control and flow.
Duties Stand at intersections, count vehicles, plot direction  grid, operate a video camera, public surveys and questionnaires, license plate data collection, parking data collection, submit reports to Traffic Engineer upon completion of projects.
Qualifications Ability to take directions, ability to stand for extended periods, if needed, legible writing, observation skills, ability to concentrate in a noisy outdoors environment.
Time  Commitment Morning, noon, evening peak traffic periods, and Saturday peak visitor hours.
