Purpose |
Assist in analysis of automobile traffic
patterns and usage at various intersections and roadways within the city for inclusion in
planning process for traffic control and flow. |
|
Duties |
Stand at intersections, count vehicles, plot
direction grid, operate a video camera, public surveys and questionnaires, license
plate data collection, parking data collection, submit reports to Traffic Engineer upon
completion of projects. |
|
Qualifications |
Ability to take directions, ability to stand
for extended periods, if needed, legible writing, observation skills, ability to
concentrate in a noisy outdoors environment. |
|
Time Commitment |
Morning, noon, evening peak
traffic periods, and Saturday peak visitor hours. |
