Field Contact Sleuth

Service Area Monterey Police Department
Purpose Field Interrogation cards are completed by patrol officers to record those people contacted in the field who were acting suspiciously or involved in incidents. Having a way to record this information and cross reference it to crime committed gives the Police Department another tool in the apprehension of criminals. Placing a suspect in a certain area where a crime has been committed is a valuable piece of evidence.
Duties - Enter, retrieve and process field interrogation cards information
   into computer.
- Prepare monthly reports as to geographic region.
- Cross reference with crime analysis report and look for
   similarities in crimes committed vs. persons contacted. 
Qualifications - Computer experience
- Knowledge of Wordperfect and Excel
- Strong typing skills
- Analytical thought process
Time  Commitment Four (4) hours a week, one year minimum.
