Library Plant Care Volunteer

Service Area Monterey Public Library
Purpose The Volunteer Plant Care Volunteer assists staff by maintaining indoor plants in the Library.
Duties The Plant Care Volunteer waters, cleans, prunes, feeds, and re-pots as needed library-owned houseplants.
Qualifications The ideal Library Plant Care Volunteer is knowledgeable about the proper care of indoor plants; has an interest in maintaining the attractive appearance of library; is physically capable of standing, bending, lifting and handling plants, gardening tools and supplies.
Training A 1-hour orientation and training session will be provided.
Time  Commitment 1-1/2 hours per week, on a consistent weekly schedule to be agreed upon, with a 6-month commitment.
