Community Room Volunteer

Service Area Monterey Public Library
Purpose The Community Room Volunteers assists staff with special events and exhibits in the Library’s Community Room.
Duties The Community Room Volunteer assists staff in greeting visitors, answering questions relating to the exhibit or project being undertaken in the Community Room, and performing specific tasks related to any special project, exhibit or event as needed.
Qualifications The ideal Community Room Volunteer is friendly, courteous, and helpful; enjoys working with people of all ages and is able to communicate well with people of all ages and backgrounds. Must be physically able to stand or sit for 1-2 hours at a time.
Training 1-8 hour orientation & training hour training is provided, depending on the activity.
Time  Commitment 2-8 hour shifts as needed for special events or programs, with a 6-month commitment.
