The City of Monterey Traffic Engineering Division delivers an array of services to increase the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists, to facilitate the flow of traffic along major city streets, that calm traffic within residential neighborhoods, and that mitigates the traffic impact associated with new developments.

We are customer service based, working to improve traffic safety, management and awareness while supporting public transit and offering parking opportunities in our neighborhoods. We also work with the Planning Commission, facilitate neighborhood meetings on transportation issues and coordinate the City-wide Ride-Share Program.
