Who is Monterey City Disposal Service?

Monterey City Disposal Service Inc. is the last independent, small business refuse and recycling collection and processing company from San Jose to San Luis Obispo County.  They provide commercial and residential collection of solid waste and recycling to the City of Monterey.  In addition, MCDS provides household hazardous waste collection, Christmas tree recycling, bulky item collection as well as special event services.

Monterey is known worldwide for its natural beauty, environmental consciousness and activism in preserving our natural resources.  At MCDS one of the core values and beliefs is the active involvement of the company and resources in preserving our environment.

As a small, local and family owned collection company MCDS recognizes the importance of conducting our business within Monterey.  For this reason, as a matter of company policy MCDS does not have national accounts, but rather conducts business locally.  Examples range from the purchasing of truck parts, fuel, and industrial supplies to banking services and insurance carriers.  MCDS remains committed to keeping business local while ensuring that costs are controlled at every opportunity.
