News & Tips -
Congratulations Monterey!

posted Dec. 20, 2006:

A random inspection of a load of residential trash from the Wed. route on Dec. 13 found 2,860 pounds of of trash had only 50 pounds, or .013%, of cans and bottles, and VERY FEW batteries.

This means that Monterey residents are doing a FANTASTIC JOB at recycling properly!

We challenge you to strive to bring the .013 % to ZERO PERCENT! Remember to recycle cans and bottles, and to recycle your batteries at the following locations:

  • Whole Foods Market
  • Monterey Public Library
  • Casanova Oak-Knoll Park Center, Hilltop Park Center, Youth & Senior Centers
  • Monterey City Hall at the City Clerk's Office

THANK YOU MONTEREY!
