1. Get In Gear

 

 

Pick up a free used motor oil container and filter bag at any designated location on the enclosed list.

Call your garbage and recycling company for a free used motor oil container and filter bag.

2. Stay On Track

 

Drain all the oil from the engine and filter into the pan. Drain the filter overnight to capture as much oil as possible. Use a funnel to transfer the oil into the container.

DO NOT mix your oil with any other substances such as antifreeze, brake fluid or water. Contaminated oil will not be accepted. Instead, take contaminated oil to your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility. For locations, click here.
Place the used filter into the bag and seal

You can also take your
used oil and filter to any collection center near you.

Limit of five (5) gallons of motor oil per trip.

Place the oil container along with the oil filter bag on the curb the morning of your garbage and recycling collection day. A replacement container and filter bag will be left for your next oil change.
