How do I know that my
registration is successful? |
|
Your registration is successful if you get to the page where you can
print a receipt. You must print your receipt. The
printed receipt is your confirmation that the transaction completed
successfully and the status is ENROLLED or WAIT LIST. If you cannot
print a receipt, it is possible your registration was not processed. If
you believe your registration did not process correctly, please call us
at 831.646.3866 to confirm your registration. Always print a copy of
your receipt so you have your class information handy. |

What if I forget my User
ID or Password? |
|
There is a link on the sign-in page if you have forgotten your User ID
or Password. Your information will be sent to you via the email address
we have on file. Please contact us immediately at 831.646.3866 if you
change your email address and/or Internet Service Provider. |

Can I update and/or
change my household information online? |
|
No. You must call or stop by our office to update and/or change your
household information. You can reach us at 831.646.3866. If you move and
your new residence is now within the Monterey city limits, you must come
to our office at 546 Dutra Street to show proof of your residency
status. If you add a new household member, we will need your signature
placed "on file." A Parent/Guardian must sign for minors (household
members under 18 years of age). Please contact us whenever a member
should be removed from your household account. |

Do I need to have an
Online account set up to browse class information? |
|
No. Click on the "GUEST" button to browse class information, including
class status (number enrolled, number of openings, number on wait list). |

Does my Online account
expire? |
|
No. However, periodically, at least annually, we will ask you to verify,
affirm, and/or update your household account information. We do
reserve the right to verify your proof of Monterey residency at anytime. |

Can I register for programs and activities over
the phone? |
|
No. The Recreation and Community Service Department, including the
Monterey Sports Center, does not accept registrations by phone. |
|
Can I give my credit card information over the
phone? |
|
No. For your protection and safety, we do not accept credit card
information over the phone. |
|
What major credit cards can I use when registering
online? |
|
Only MasterCard, Visa, and American Express will be accepted for Online
Activity Registration. |

Can I view the class
schedule without signing in with my Online User ID & Password? |
|
Yes. You have the option of
viewing class schedules as a GUEST. Click on the "GUEST" button to browse class
information, including class status (number enrolled, number of openings, number on wait
list). |

If I register Online, can I guarantee that my children get in the same class? |
|
No. Special requests, such as
enrolling siblings into the same class, are best processed manually at our office rather
than using the Online Activity Registration System. Please call us at 831.646.3866, if you
have any special requests. |

Who will use my personal information? |
|
Only the City of Monterey will
have access to your information. Your information will only be used as part of regular
business in providing programs and services to our community. We will not sell or share
your personal information with any other agency. |

Can I pay outstanding balances when I register online? |
|
No. However, you are able to
view your household history, including any outstanding balances. |

When will my credit card account be charged? |
|
Your credit card account will
be charged immediately upon "successful" completion of any ENROLLED classes.
Your registration is successful if you get to the page where you can print a receipt. You
must print your receipt. The printed receipt is your confirmation that the
transaction completed successfully and the status is ENROLLED or WAIT LIST. Your credit
card will not be charged for WAIT LIST registration transactions. |

How will you process my credit card for registration fees? |
|
VeriSign, a worldwide Internet
payment processor, will process program fee charges with the highest level of security. |

Are there classes I cant sign up for using online registration? |
|
Yes. Since our Online Service
is fairly new, we are limiting the number of activities to maintain the highest level of
accuracy in our registration process. In the future, we plan to expand and continue to
enhance our Online Service. |

Why cant I enroll Online a child that is "almost" the correct
age for a class? |
|
Classes are designed for
certain ages or grades to ensure the best experience for the children in the class. The
age calculation for a class is based on the birth date of the participant. |

What are the Recreation and Community Services Departments
Administration Office Hours? |
|
Our Administration
Office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are located at 546 Dutra
Street behind the Colton Hall Museum. Our phone number is 831.646.3866. Fax-in, mail-in
and walk-in registrations are processed Monday Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Administration Office does not process Monterey Sports Center registrations. Please
contact the Monterey Sports Center at 831.646.3730 for questions regarding its
registration procedures, programs, and business hours. |
