– Jacks Ballpark: 3.7 acre multiuse municipal sports park at Franklin & Figueroa streets, downtown Monterey. Ball field and bleachers with night lighting, tot play area, restrooms.
– Peter J. Ferrante Park: 
1acre league/softball diamond at Encina and Palo Verde off of Casa Verde Way.  Bleachers, BBQ picnic area, tot play equipment.
– Soldier Field: 9.5 acres multi-use sports field with 3 baseball diamonds. Use shared with the military.

El Estero Park Complex: 45 acre city-wide multi-use recreation area in the center of Monterey at Del Monte Avenue and Camino Aguajito, Fremont Avenue and Camino El Estero. Paddleboat concession at lake, group BBQ picnic area, exercise course, restrooms (Reservations 831.646.3866). Home of the following:

– Monterey Youth Center Dance Studio: The Dance Studio is located behind the El    Estero snack bar, next to the parking lot which connects Dennis the Menace Park and the Monterey Youth Center. This professional dance studio was constructed in February 1982 and has a wooden floor, wall mirrors, ballet bars, and an excellent P.A. system. All classes are coordinated in conjunction with the Monterey Youth Center. Programming information 831.646.3873

– El Estero Exercise Studio: A wonderful recreational experience for the folks of Monterey! A parcourse combines all the elements of a scientifically designed exercise program. The parcourse is a series of 18 exercise stations spaced in 3 clusters. It is approximately a 1.2 mile path around Lake El Estero. Each station provides a type of exercise: warm-up, muscle stretching, muscle strengthening, cardiovascular conditioning and cool down, combined with walking, jogging or running in between stations. Information board is located at each cluster.

– El Estero Fishing Piers: Grab your fishing pole and come fish off the piers at El Estero Lake. The piers are located on Pearl Street across from the El Estero picnic area. The types of fish found in the lake include Rainbow Trout, Sacramento Perch, Sacramento Blackfish, Sacramento Hitch, Carp, Tule Perch and Yellow Bullhead. Anyone 16 years old and older is required to have a fishing license. Any adult assisting a youth is also required to have a license. For further information call the City of Monterey Parks Division at 831.646.3860.

– El Estero Snack Bar: Open year round 11a.m.to 5:00 p.m., closed on Tues., 831.372.8446.

Monterey Skate Park: Open daily from 9 a.m. until dusk. Located next to Lake El Estero behind Sollecito Ballpark.
Rules: 1) Skaters under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult; 2) All skaters are required to wear safety gear, including a helmet, knee and elbow pads and wrist/hand guards.

– Monterey Bay Park//Window on the Bay: 4.1 acre turf and landscaped areas adjacent to the beach. Five sand volleyball courts, picnic and BBQ facilities. Reservations for volleyball/picnic 831.646.3866
Veteran's Memorial Park: 3 group BBQ areas, 100 people maximum, water and restrooms available. Day Use Reservations 831.646.3865
Campsites are available on a first come - first served basis only, reservations are not available.

Whispering Pines Park: 3.1 acre group use park at Pacific & Alameda. Amphitheater, open & covered BBQ picnic areas, restrooms. Reservations 831.646.3866
