Join Agriculture Expert Evan Oakes as we continue to explore the
hidden treasures of Monterey County. This tour will feature a farm and
garden tour, a winery, and a surprise visit. If you have been on any of
our previous Ag Venture tours, you know how much fun they are and how
much you learn.

ELKHORN SLOUGH SAFARI & CAPITOLA VILLAGE:
Join us for a water adventure as we tour Elkhorn Slough with
naturalist, Captain Yohan. One of California's largest wetlands, this
part of the National Estuarine Reserve, goes inland seven miles and
provides an important feeding and resting place for a fantastic variety
of wildlife. We will travel to Capitola for lunch on your own and
browsing.

seniors from the Santa Cruz area. The theme this year is "Lullaby of
Broadway", featuring music from many of your favorite Broadway shows.

SOUTH COUNTY RURAL MUSEUM AND WINE TOUR:
Another fun filled AgVenture! This time we will journey to King city
for an interesting tour of the Agricultural and Rural Life Museum to see
how life was in the 19th century. Explore a variety of antique farm
equipment and many unique buildings including an exhibit barn, school
house and the Spreckles House. The museum features artifacts from the
1880's to the late 1940's as well as displays of Salinas Valley
agriculture from the late 1770's to 1910. From there we will be
off to a delicious variety of South County autumn adventures. A picnic
lunch and wine tasting will be included.
