JEFF RAY, Public Works
Inspector Jeff, you are recognized for your technical knowledge and expertise
in the construction of Public Works projects. Your knowledge and
expertise are instrumental in the Construction Management Division’s
day to day operations, particularly in decision-making regarding
construction change orders. Your input and recommendations are helpful
in making good, sound, cost-effective construction of City projects.
You are also recognized in your diligence and willingness to help
in the completion of projects. Your dedication to your work and to the
City is greatly appreciated as shown on your efforts last year where

including weekends to ensure that construction was carried out per

is referred to as "a high work ethic". Every day you set the work
standard bar high, performing the highest quality work and achieving
in the most efficient manner. You enjoy learning and this love of
learning fuels your passion to take care of our buildings and their
complex systems. You are a skilled craftsman, mentor to your crew and
teacher to many.
Steve, you are one of the first to volunteer to take standby when
staffing is short, the first to ask if those in the field need
assistance and will not go home if they are in need. You are one of
