The following staff have been recognized by the Public Works Department for their outstanding contributions:

JEFF RAY, Public Works Inspector

Jeff, you are recognized for your technical knowledge and expertise in the construction of Public Works projects. Your knowledge and expertise are instrumental in the Construction Management Division’s day to day operations, particularly in decision-making regarding construction change orders. Your input and recommendations are helpful in making good, sound, cost-effective construction of City projects.

You are also recognized in your diligence and willingness to help in the completion of projects. Your dedication to your work and to the City is greatly appreciated as shown on your efforts last year where you had to work, on many occasions, more than eight hours a day including weekends to ensure that construction was carried out per contract and to the City’s best interest.

STEVE LANG, Senior Craftsworker

Steve, you continually re-define what is referred to as "a high work ethic". Every day you set the work standard bar high, performing the highest quality work and achieving in the most efficient manner. You enjoy learning and this love of learning fuels your passion to take care of our buildings and their complex systems. You are a skilled craftsman, mentor to your crew and teacher to many.

Steve, you are one of the first to volunteer to take standby when staffing is short, the first to ask if those in the field need assistance and will not go home if they are in need. You are one of our most expert trouble shooter in diagnosing maintenance problems, particularly with heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

LOUIS MARCUZZO, Senior Parks Maintenance Worker

Over the past year, you have planned, coordinated, supervised and participated in the installation of numerous landscape projects in the City, while still maintaining your regular areas. You have done this work with a great deal of enthusiasm and professionalism. Your creativity has been a great asset to the City and the Division.

These employees all demonstrated their technical expertise, as well as their extraordinary work ethic.

Congratulations to you all for a  job well done.
Keep up the good work!
