Kevin Anderson, Engineering Technician, Construction Management Division
Kevin’s dedication to his job, his team spirit and willingness to help other Divisions are greatly appreciated. This year he taught himself AutoCad to a proficient level and this enabled him to join the design team in providing project plans for numerous time sensitive projects. He also used his extensive background in GIS to map the City’s infrastructure of storm drains, sewers, and roadways (90% completed) into a system that is also linked to Hansen. Most importantly, he is exceptional in working as a productive team member/leader in both an office environment and with the maintenance field crews.

Andreas Baer, Engineering Technician, Engineering Division
Andreas’ capabilities well exceed the job title of Engineering Technician. He consistently delivers high-quality work products and always looks for ways to innovate and produce the best possible work. His efforts serve to improve projects in terms of energy efficiency, cost, construction and maintenance. Andreas is always looking for ways to raise our standards. His tireless energy, youthful enthusiasm, wisdom beyond his years, great sense of humor and keen intellect are greatly appreciated. He also plays a mean guitar and is a great hiker!

Todd Bennett, Senior Associate Planner, Planning Division
Todd’s review of new construction projects for conformity with the City's goals and policies is exemplary. The City continually receives compliments on his friendly demeanor and ability to clearly convey information. As the primary liaison to the North Fremont Business Improvement District, he is helping the BID become an effective advocate and developing a vision for its future. His creative ideas have helped shape the new image of that district. Helping launch new events like “Monterey on Ice” are a great example of his creativity and hard work. Events like this are of great benefit to the BID and City.

Jose Bonilla-Bonilla, Custodian, General Services Division
Jose, in the past year you have shown immense growth in his ability to take on additional tasks and you always maintain a positive attitude. In addition to being the direct line of communication between the Building Maintenance stand-by crew and the custodial crew, he demonstrates great communication skills and ability to discern the difference between a true emergency and a problem that can be remedied the next day. Jose always go the extra mile!

Dennis Deis, Park Crafts Leadworker, Parks Division
Dennis was promoted to Park Crafts Leadworker. He displays a tremendous amount of initiative in planning and executing his work and the work of his crew. He also reduced the amount of backlog in work orders and is very quick to respond to new requests. We also appreciate his solutions for various types of repair – the solutions are very creative and innovative.

Rose Dickson, Office Assistant II (Now Admin. Asst. II), Recreation Department
Without Rose’s administrative support of the Construction Management Division they would have been at a loss. Although she transferred to Recreation, she continued to support the NIP process. She trained the new OA II in the NIP process and all other tasks. The training was all after hours and took her away from her family. We are very appreciative of all she has done for Construction Management. She will be missed!

Lee Hinkle, Senior Maintenance Craftsworker, General Services Division
Lee possess extensive technical skills and has the ability to adjust quickly from project to project and work site to work site, moving from the City to the POM. His work ethic is as outstanding as his ability to work with a team or work independently. Our customers and his fellow craftsworkers are very impressed with his exceptional work quality. As the lead craftsworker on the re-tile project in the men's locker room at the Sports Center, he coordinated the work without disrupting the Sports Center operations. All of our customers enjoy his friendly and cordial demeanor and appreciate that he takes time to explain what he is doing and why he is doing it.
