Electrician and rapidly rose to become one of the two City
Electricians. Jerod’s quick ascent to City Electrician occurred for
the same reasons he is being honored here today. Few workers, in any
field, with any employer, can match Jerod’s passion for a job well
done and his hard charging work ethic. Jerod possesses excellent
electrical knowledge and has been called upon frequently by Public

RAY GUERIN, Senior
Custodian Ray Guerin is
currently our Senior Custodian. I word be remiss if I did not
recognize Ray for is wonderfully happy demeanor. Ray loves to laugh
and when you see Ray you become happy. But Ray also has a serious side
and that is his devotion to the City and his pride in a job well done.
Ray always wants to please and often we in the City will come to work
and find that our vinyl floors have been stripped, waxed and buffed or
our crew area was specially cleaned. He does those things in addition
to his heavy workload. Not because someone told him to but so that we
will enjoy our work area and more importantly, so that we will know
that he cares.
For months Ray has worked alone on the weekend, taking care of our
Public Restrooms and making sure that our Recreation Centers are clean
after parties. It is amazing how much work Ray can accomplish inn a
day, yet Ray continues set the workload bar high, and does this every
day he comes to work.
