In accordance with the City Code of Monterey the Planning Commission can delegate to the Plans & Public Works Department the authority to conduct public hearings and approve, conditionally approve, or disapprove certain minor permits and variances that meet criteria adopted by the Panning Commission by resolution. The Zoning Administrator acting for the Plans & Public Works Department schedules public hearings as needed.
