Parking Adjustments

A Parking Adjustment is a special request to waive off-street parking requirements for a use. All or part of the Parking Adjustment request may be granted only when special circumstances are found which justify the waiving of the normal parking standards . Parking adjustments may be approved by the Zoning Administrator or Planning Commission who must find that:

  1. There are no reasonable alternatives where required parking may be created on site or off site by some legally binding arrangements.
  2. Authorizing the adjustment will not be of substantial detriment to adjacent property and will not materially impair the purposes of City plans, policies and standards or the public interest.
