On January 7, 2008, the City’s Contractor, Thayer Construction, will begin construction of the Veteran's Park Restroom Project located at 1200 Veterans Drive in Monterey. This project is funded by the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

In general, the work will consist of demolishing the existing restroom and replacing it with a new CMU block building. This project will provide an American Disability Act (ADA) compliant restroom. Estimated completion date of this project is early March 2008.

Construction noise and minor construction inconveniences around the job site are anticipated during construction. Park patrons are advised to use other restrooms within the park during construction. Recreational vehicles sewer dump site will remain open during construction.
