SUMMER JOB OPENINGS WITH THE
RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Are you creative, responsible, enthusiastic, enjoy being around children and working outdoors?  If your answer is yes, we have the perfect summer job for you working for the City of Monterey Recreation & Community Services Department.  Applications for Day Camp Counselors, Playground Leaders, Resident Camp Cook, Resident Camp Counselors, Resident Camp Support Staff, Lifeguards, Aquatic Specialists, Cheerleading Camp Counselors, Sports Camp Director and Sports Camp Counselors are now being accepted at the Recreation & Community Services office.  Applicants need to be 16 years of age or older.  Application deadline is Friday, March 28 at 5:00 p.m.  All applicants will be invited to compete in a group leader assessment interview Saturday, April 5, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Employment will begin the second week of June.  Those hired must be able to work the entire summer.

We are interested in people who possess recreational skills in arts and crafts, games, sports, singing, folk dancing, camping, and special event programming.  A positive attitude combined with enthusiasm, cooperation, and patience is essential. Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to various situations.
