Project Construction – Monterey Bay Landscape and
Park Improvements
The City’s On-Call Contractor, Don Chapin Company will begin
construction on Monday, April 7th for the Monterey Bay Landscape and
Park Improvements Project. This project is funded by the City's
Neighborhood Improvement Program. The goal of this project is to
improve the lot formerly occupied by Mohr Imports, located at 999
Del Monte Avenue, including the lot frontage along Del Monte Avenue.
This improvement will complete a phase of the existing Window on the
Bay Park. The work includes: construction of concrete curb,
sidewalk, curb ramps and walkways. The landscaping portion of this
work will follow shortly after completing the hardscape portion of
this project.
Traffic delays due to lane closures at Del Monte Avenue and
Camino Aguajito are anticipated. Construction noise should be
expected during construction. The estimated completion date for this
project is late April, 2008. For project scheduling and updated
