Environmentally Acceptable Food
Packaging Meeting
You are invited
to attend the second and final Town Hall Meeting to
discuss the use of Environmentally Acceptable Food Packaging in
take-out food applications.
We will be discussing the environmental
effects of polystyrene containers found as litter, environmentally
friendly food packaging options and financial cost comparisons for
businesses located in Monterey.
Monterey is
undergoing a Community Process and values your ideas and
input. Please join us for this informational event and help guide
the direction of this important initiative.
We will be
presenting a draft outline of Monterey’s Ordinance requiring the use
of Environmentally Acceptable Food Packaging. This program is based
upon public feedback, state mandates, best practices found in other
cities, and the specific needs of our community.
