Evening Music Concert to be Held in Colton Hall

The Category 5 Wind Quintet will perform on March 12, 2008, as part of the Colton Hall Evening Music series.  Sponsored by the Colton Hall Museum and Cultural Arts Commission this FREE concert begins at 7:30 p.m. upstairs in historic Colton Hall.  Seating is limited.  Call for reservations at 831-646-5640.  

 The Category 5 Wind Quintet is composed of Marci Krause (Flute), Claire Horn (Oboe), Robert Reid (Clarinet), Eric Rowe (Bassoon) and Robert Hylton (French Horn).  The Quintet was founded two and a half years ago by principal players in the Monterey Peninsula College Concert Band.  The members represent four of the Peninsula communities and have been featured in the past three MPC band concerts.

 The program will be a range of chamber music featuring classic wind compositions of Beethoven, Arnold, and Ibert, as well as contemporary pieces by William Grant Still and Denes Agay.
