Evening Music Concert to be Held in Colton Hall

The Wild Coast Brass Quintet will perform on February 13, 2008, as part of the Colton Hall Evening Music series.  Sponsored by the Colton Hall Museum and Cultural Arts Commission this FREE concert begins at 7:30 p.m. upstairs in historic Colton Hall.  Seating is limited.  Call for reservations at 831-646-5640.  

 The Wild Coast Brass quintet is composed of Kevin Jordan (trumpet), Charles Old (trumpet), Ruth Jordan (Horn), Steve Mortensen (Trombone) and James Paoletti (Tuba).  As a local quintet, they have performed on the peninsula for the Big Sur Marathon, Squid Festival, numerous church services and at Santa Catalina High School graduation.

 The program will focus on strong brass chamber music featuring pieces by Des Pres, Bavrieli, Frescobaldi, Boyce and Ewald.  The Quintet will also include contemporary pieces by Frackenpohl and Fats Waller.
