CITY-WIDE
EASTER EGG HUNT
Hippity-Hop
on down to the City of Monterey’s 36th Annual Easter Egg
Hunt to be held Saturday, March 22 at Frank E. Sollecito, Jr.
Ballpark next to Dennis the Menace Park. Children, tots through
third grade, are invited to take part in the Easter Egg-citement
festivities co-sponsored by KWAV Radio and the City of Monterey
Recreation & Community Services Department. The hunt begins promptly
at 10:00 a.m. Over seven thousand eggs will be hidden; one hundred
of the eggs have been deemed as “prize” eggs. Finders of the prize
eggs will receive a free Easter basket. The Easter Bunny will be
there to greet everyone.
There will be four designated hunt areas: 1) age two and under
(tots); 2) Preschool; 3) Kindergarten to first grade; and 4) second
to third grade. Parents will not be allowed in the hunt areas.
Children are encouraged to bring their own containers to collect
eggs. Should it rain, the Hunt will be canceled and the eggs will be
distributed to the children by the Easter Bunny at the Monterey
Youth Center. Come early, parking is limited! For further
information, please call the Monterey Recreation & Community
Services Department at 646-3866.
