Art at the
Monterey Conference Center
The City of Monterey and the
Monterey Conference Center announce the opening of "Journeys
Through the Lens", a group show of local photographers.
Journeys Through the Lens
features the works of local photographers Clarice Hoffman,
Debbie Delatour and Galyn Hammond. Each artist takes you on a
different adventure through their camera. Hoffman's Tranquil
Heritage uses black and white photographs to perceive subtle
differences in light and dark, conveying a sense of peace and
serenity with a dash of mystery within California Missions.
Delatour's Tideline Treasures is an intimate invitation into
mother nature's masterpieces as captured through a macro lens.
Hammond exposes us to colorful cultures beyond our city limits
with his Peoples of the World, photographs taken by this
multi-faceted world traveler.
Please join us for light
refreshments at the opening reception on Fri., May 23, 2008,
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., to meet the artists and explore their
different "Journeys through the Lens."
The exhibits will be on display
in the Alvarado Gallery located at the Monterey Conference
Center,
One Portola Plaza, May 23 through Aug. 17, 2008. For more
