Monterey Conference Center
HOURS: MONDAY - FRIDAY 8-5

The Conference Center houses most of the city’s modern art on three floors. Many of the works are by local artists and include sculptures, paintings, photographs, fiber art, and stained glass. Shows of topical interest or temporary exhibits by local artists appear in the Alvarado Gallery on the second floor.

Monterey Mural, 1984. William W. Granizo (1923-1995). Ceramic tile. Located on exterior of Conference Center, Pacific and Del Monte.

Portola, 1986. Fausto Blazquez (b. 1944). Bronze. Dedicated by King Juan Carlos I of Spain in 1987.
