The City of Monterey and the Monterey Conference Center announce the opening of “Celebrating Monterey” featuring the Independent Photographers group at Alvarado Gallery.

Founded by Al Weber and Cole Weston in 1996, the Independent Photographers is a group of talented peninsula photographers who gather monthly to show their art, discuss technique and debate virtues of equipment. Upon opening a new decade, IP is ‘Celebrating Monterey’ with twenty-five of their members displaying images of the people, places and spirit of Monterey County.
